South Mildura celebrate after claiming the A Grade netball premiership.

SOUTH Mildura prevailed in a nail-biting SFNL A Grade netball grand final, defeating Merbein 53-51.

The two sides traded goal for goal for much of the final quarter, with the margin alternating from a one-goal Bulldogs lead to scores tied.

Merbein, in their first ever A Grade grand final, fought hard but with time winding down South Mildura managed to finally create some distance with a three-goal lead.

Though the Magpies kept coming, South Mildura were able to close out the game in a tense final minute to win by two goals.

Demi Toms of South Mildura won the best-on-court medal.
